Hundreds turned out Saturday for the first ever Reptile Expo at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. More than 100 exhibitors selling snakes, lizards, frogs, and more are in town this weekend for the expo.

The event featured giveaways, venom extractions, reptile handlers featured on Animal Planet and National Geographic, and of course all the slithery animals.

"It's taken us years to get some of these animals to breed in captivity and some of these reptiles you don't find in the wild anymore or you don't get anymore what we want to do if breed them so we can have them for a long time," said Rosie Campellone, a vendor from Florida.

The reptile expo continues Sunday.
