PSA screening for prostate cancer: right or wrong?

So I see there's another new pronouncement from a health care panel discrediting the use of the PSA (prostate-specific antigen) test as a screening tool for prostate cancer. The United States Preventive Services Task Force now recommends that healthy men should not get the test, citing studies that show the health risks of treating non-aggressive tumors can be greater than the risk of death from prostate cancer.

It pains me a little to think that the Vietnam War still has the potential to divide us, that it seems we're still struggling with what it was all about, who were the heroes in that war and who were not. I guess it's because, as you look at the names on that wall, it's so tempting to ask why, when, at this stage, maybe it's better to just say thanks. You can do that in Myrtle Beach this week.
