Saturday afternoon felt similar to many on Myrtle Beach's 9th Avenue Beach Access. The sun was shining, the temperatures were warm. One thing was missing though, the large numbers of people in the water.

Horry County closed all sections of beach in the unincorporated part of the county. Surfside Beach and Myrtle Beach have also closed their beaches as Hurricane Irene passes by.

The search for a swimmer who's been missing since last Wednesday ended this afternoon. Sgt. Phillip Cane with Myrtle Beach Police Beach Patrol says the teen's body was recovered at 1:00 p.m. at 29th Avenue North.
