A North Carolina man police say carjacked two people, caused two crashes, and eventually landed in the Waccamaw River Wednesday is still recovering in the hospital.

Bridgette Solis was fishing with her son in the Waccamaw River Wednesday when a carjacked truck flew over their heads and crashed into the River. Solis says she thought the truck was going to crash on top of them.

Just after 10:30 Monday morning, a train conductor traveling through Dillon County spotted a car submerged in the Little Pee Dee River where it runs along Commerce Drive off of Highway 301 in Dillon.
