Starting at 6:00 a.m. Monday, the Barefoot Swing Bridge in North Myrtle Beach will be closed. Contractors are painting the bridge because the paint on it right now is lead based.

Pat Dowling, spokesman for the City of North Myrtle Beach, says if the painting contractor working on the Barefoot bridge finishes its scheduled work today, then all lanes of the bridge will be open on Thursday and Friday.

Repairs are in the works for the Barefoot Swing Bridge in North Myrtle Beach. In the summer months, drivers make more than 9,000 trips over the bridge that connects the Barefoot Resort area to Barefoot Landing and Highway 17 in North Myrtle Beach.

ESPN'S "Mike & Mike in the Morning" will broadcast live from the annual Monday after the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am, hosted by Hootie & the Blowfish. Tournament officials announced that fans who have purchased tickets for the golf tournament can also attend the live radio broadcast.
