Monday, January 02, 2012  It's been a mild winter in South Carolina so far. That means a lot of people aren't as ready as they could be for the wave of cold air that will hit our area this week.
  • Friday, January 08, 2010  Another blast of Arctic air is beginning to rush into the area behind a cold front that pushed through this morning. Temperatures will remain in the upper 30s through the afternoon and then drop quickly tonight into the upper teens Inland and low 20s along the Grand Strand. Cold & windy conditions are expected throughout the weekend as high tempreatures struggle to reach the mid to upper 30s each afternoon. Wind will also be a dangerous factor coupled with the cold air pushing the wind chill temperatures down near single digits in the mornings and 20s for the afternoon. Limit excess time spent outside and layer up the clothing when you do head out. The arctic blast will finally begin to lose its grip as we head to next week and temperatures rebound to the 50s by mid-week. First Alert Meteorologist Darren Stack details this in your web forecast.
