Over the past week, eleven people have died in car accidents around South Carolina including five on the Grand Strand. All of the deadly crashes fall during what the South Carolina Department of Public Safety calls the 100 Deadly Days of Summer.

South Carolina's Highway Patrol, Department of Public Safety, and Department of Natural Resources were joined by local law enforcement agencies across the state Monday to announce efforts to combat the "100 Deadly Days of Summer."
