Well another Arctic Chill surges into the Carolinas and the Southeast as we enter midweek. I don’t know about you, but I’m already looking forward to spring coming and the door to the cold air coming from the North being slammed shut. Well there is some good news for those early spring lovers out there! A nice touch of warmer air is making its way East as we get to the end of the week! Typically during the first few weeks of February our average temperatures are in the upper 50’s. After our midweek chill of the 40’s, that warm airmass that’s out West will move in soaring our high temperatures through the weekend into the mid to upper 60’s with some areas even hitting 70 degrees! That’s what I call a warm up! But what makes this warm up even better is that some of the long range models keep temperatures around or above our seasonal averages beyond the weekend and into next week. Now with that being said, anything can happen in the long range, but it certainly will be nice to thaw out for a little while. Enjoy the early taste of Spring and break out the golf clubs, Bar-B-Que grills, and get ready to open up the house. Be aware though that we will still be in Winter until March 20th. In that time we can almost bet on another late season chill returning to the Carolinas.
