An arrest has been made in the murder of a 56-year old Hartsville man.

Jamie Lewis of Chesterfield County is being charged with murder.

Lewis was arrested after a traffic stop in the Pageland area at the corner Gus and Airport Road.

Edward Brewington was found dead in his home on Pineneedle Lane in the Northwood Subdivision Sunday night.

Brewington was stabbed to death, according to Coroner Todd Hardee.

Police are not releasing a motive or Lewis' relationship to Brewington.

"We don't have all the details right now. Still under investigation. Just looks like some type of struggle or some altercation," said Darlington County Sheriff Wayne Byrd.

Lewis is now being held in the Darlington County Jail.
