Florence police closed portions of four streets as firefighters battled a house fire on Oakland Avenue Monday afternoon.

Flames reached through the home's roof, causing it to partially collapse.

Neighbors say at one point, you could see the flames in the trees.

Hannibal Washington lives next door to the burning home. He says he heard a loud popping noise and saw flames.

Washington called 911 and ran outside to see if his neighbors were inside. Luckily, they weren't home, Washington said.

One person was taken to the hospital for a non-life threatening medical issue.

Five people were displaced by the fire.

At this point, firefighters aren't sure what caused the fire.
