UPDATE

West Florence Fire Department crews are on the scene of a multi-vehicle wreck on North bound Interstate 95 near the 161 mile marker.

An 18-wheeler flipped and a fuel tank began to leak after the crash.

Firefighters secured the leak and contained the spilled fuel.

The Department of Health and Environmental Control was notified and are on the way to the scene.

There are five people getting treatment from Florence County Emergency Medical Services, according to West Florence Fire spokesperson Anthony Fox.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is on scene investigating the wreck, which happened after 7:45 Tuesday morning, and directing traffic.

The 18-wheeler was carrying 55 gallon drums which are empty and not hazardous.
