Two storm systems will give us good chances of rain through Wednesday.

The first system comes through Monday and may produce .5" to 1" of rain. A rumble or two of thunder is not out of the question, but severe weather is not expected.

We'll catch a break Monday night and Tuesday with only small chances of any rain.

Round two will arrive Tuesday night with the next cold front.

Expect rain to become widespread through the evening and continue on and off through Wednesday evening.

There could be a few storms Wednesday night, but again, not expecting any severe weather.

An additional .5" to 1.5" of rain will accumulate before it all ends late Wednesday night.

The rest of the week looks mainly dry and cooler.

For those running in the Myrtle Beach half or full marathon, the weather looks decent. A strong cold front may roll through Friday night which could produce a brief shower otherwise partly cloudy.

It could be rather breezy to windy Saturday morning with temperatures in the 30s at the start of the race and rising through the 40s by noon.
