Car wreck causes power outages in Florence

Florence County 911 dispatchers say a car wreck at David McLeod Boulevard and West Evans Street knocked out power to homes and businesses in West Florence when a car hit a utility pole.

No word yet on any injuries.

About 1,400 people were without power for a few hours.

According to Progress Energy online outage maps, power has been restored to everyone.
