Florence Police responded to a vehicle wreck on 900 church street in Florence around 7:40 p.m Tuesday.

An older model suburban was traveling south on Church street when the vehicle crossed traffic and hit a tree, according to police.

There were four people inside the suburban. The driver and the front passenger fled the scene and got into a second vehicle, according to Florence police.

The two passengers in the back seat were transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The Florence Police Department is now searching for the two people who fled the scene.
