15-year-old boy dies after being struck by car

A 15-year-old boy has died in a wreck on Highway 9 near Dillon, just passed Jake Road.

For an unknown reason, the teenager darted out in front of a vehicle at about 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, according to Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins with South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Coroner Donnie Grimsley identifies the boy of Tristan Loomis

The vehicle was headed east bound.

No charges are expected to be filed in the wreck.
