The South All-Stars beat the North All-stars 23-0 at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in the 64th annual North-South All-Star game, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on Saturday.

The South victory ended a six game losing skid in the series. After a scoreless first half, Summerville's Jerod Tucker scored on a 78 yard run in the third quarter to give the South all the points they would need.

Following a safety, the South struck again late in the third quarter, Fort Dorchester running back Daitwan Commodore scored on a 3-yard TD run to give the stars from the lower state a 16-0 advantage.

In the fourth quarter, Commodore, who ran 12 times for 61 yards, scored his second TD of the day to complete the scoring. Myrtle Beach High's Max Huggins booted three extra points for the South.

Commodore won the offensive MVP for the South, Lake View's Darius Leonard, who had nine tackles, was named South defensive MVP. Leonard teamed with Dillon's Hishawn Blue to record a safety for the South squad in the third quarter.

The South defense dominated, holding the North to minus-7 rushing yards. The South offense totaled 343 yards to just 177 for the North.

Lamar's Akeem Peoples had two interceptions for the North All-Stars. The North still leads the all-time series 37-26, with two ties.
