Each month, the latest numbers are released on unemployment. In January, they fell slightly in South Carolina to 9.5 percent.

There's something behind the numbers though. Millions of people out of work right now and each one of them has a story.

As part of a month long focus on unemployment this February, NewsChannel 15's Lindsey Theis set out to tell at least one of those stories of what it's really like to live day to day being unemployed.

Susan Sturdivant was laid off from her job two years ago and still struggles to make it day to day. Over the course of two weeks, we were able to capture a sample of just one day in life of unemployed Sturdivant was like.
