Everyone was a winner at a baseball game in Myrtle Beach Thursday night.

It was the opening game for the Grand Strand Miracle League at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.

The Miracle League is dedicated to providing people with physical and mental disabilities the opportunity to play baseball.

The field is designed to accommodate wheelchairs and walkers so anyone can play ball.

Tory Mackey, the league's director says, "There's just such a wonderful energy and feeling. It's a place full of support and encouragement for children and their families that have disabilities."

NewsChannel 15's Ed Piotrowski was at Thursday's game throwing out a few pitches.

The Grand Strand Miracle League played its first season of baseball in the Spring of 2002.
