Press Release - Provost Academy South Carolina, a free online public high school, will host an Open House Tuesday, July 13 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Darlington Library in Darlington, S.C.
During the event, Provost Academy South Carolina community outreach director Josh Brickey will be on hand to meet with parents and students and provide information about this innovative education choice now available to all residents of South Carolina. Parents and prospective students will also have the opportunity to experience the virtual classroom, visit the parent ambassador booth, win prizes and enroll for the fall semester.
Provost Academy South Carolina is a state-authorized public online school that is free of charge to residents of South Carolina, and offers high school students the public school choice of an engaging, adaptable and quality online learning experience. Students work toward their regular public high school diploma - recognized by colleges and employers - as they would in a traditional school, but in the convenient, safe environment of their own home through computer-based educational programs.
"I could not be more excited about the Provost Academy and the potential it has to change the way some high school students view education," said Brickey. "In my position as Provost Academy community outreach director, I will help make education more accessible to South Carolina high school students. I am eager to meet with parents and students to answer any questions they may have."
Provost Academy is currently enrolling students for the upcoming school year.
