Press Release - The Conway Chamber of Commerce will host the 2010 Riverfest Celebration on Saturday, June 26, 2010, from 3 to 11 p.m. along Conway's historic riverfront.

Riverfest is Conway's longest running festival and celebrates Independence Day with festivities for the entire family.

This year's event is presented by Conway and Agape Senior, and co-sponsored by HTC.

"Riverfest is something all of Conway looks forward to each year," said Bridgette Johnson, Executive Vice President of the Conway Chamber of Commerce. "Each year more businesses get involved to sponsor, and many host children's activities along the riverfront. It's a great way to get to know our neighbors and it's certainly a wonderful opportunity to showcase to our traveling guests all that Conway has to offer. Conway boasts a proud spirit and it's our job to tell the story of what makes Conway the perfect place to live, work and play."

This year's live entertainment line-up includes Sea Cruz, Seth Thomas, Southern Blue, Who Shot JR?, Super Swamp Heroes, Dustin Martin, Mixed Creeds, Beautiful Tension, Conway Superstars, Carl's Father & Son Music Camp, and the Promise Land Band.

Riverfest is filled with live entertainment in two stage areas, which feature country and beach music, as well as family entertainment on the Riverfront Park stage. Residents and visitors to the area are encouraged to attend and enjoy the Nationwide Insurance, Chris M. Johnson Agency Artisans Market, The Conway National Bank Fireworks Extravaganza at 9:30 p.m., the First Citizens Bank River Raft Race at 4 p.m., and the Hardee Auto Sales Boat Parade at 6 p.m.

Festival attendees can also watch as our Riverfest Bass Tournament fisherman hold a tournament weigh-in at 4:30 p.m. in the parking area of the Horry County Judicial Complex.

Kids can enjoy activities in the Palmetto Chevrolet Family Playground Pavilion, including a Jello Jump at 3 p.m., inflatables, pony rides, games and live entertainment.
