Florence County Coroner Bubba Matthews tells NewsChannel 15 a man has died following a shooting Monday night.
It happened at a mobile home park off of Highway 76 about three miles outside the city limits of Timmonsville.
Officers on scene say two people were shot. One man died at the scene. Another is being treated at the hospital for his injuries.
No word on his condition.
About 20 neighbors stood outside. Many of them talked with investigators to offer information about the shooting.
Deputies will release more details on the shooting later Tuesday morning.
Coroner Matthews plans to release the victim's name when he notifies the next of kin.
The Florence County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
