Myrtle Beach accepting applications for Citizen's Police Academy

Press Release - The City of Myrtle Beach Police Department is now accepting applications for the 20th Session of the Citizen's Police Academy (CPA).

The CPA is for those persons 21 years of age or older who are interested in law enforcement. Applicants must reside in Horry County and undergo a criminal background check.

Topics such as Crime Scene Investigation, K-9, Emergency Vehicle Operations and simulated firearms training will be covered during the course. Classes will begin on Monday September 13th and will meet every Monday for 10 weeks. Classes will conclude with a graduation on November 15th. Classes are scheduled for 7pm-9pm, and the classes will be held at the Myrtle Beach Police Annex located at 3340 Mustang Street (Old Air Force Base).
