Meeting Nov. 5 on proposed bridge replacement in Darlington County

The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) has scheduled a public information meeting Thursday, November 5, in Darlington County concerning the proposed bridge replacement on West Smith Avenue (S-42) over Swift Creek.

The meeting will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., in the Common Area of Pate Elementary School, 1010 Indian Branch Road, Darlington. The meeting will have a drop-in format, with displays for viewing. A formal presentation will not be given during this time.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide information and solicit feedback from area residents concerning the proposed bridge replacement on West Smith Avenue (S-42) over Swift Creek.
