According to a news release from Tom Shearin, Special Services Administrator for the City of Florence, a processing error led to incorrect billing information on certain recent City of Florence City Services Bills.

Shearin says in the processing and mailing of its City Services Bill, the City of Florence utilizes software programs with postal software to prevent mismatched addresses. For all customers utilizing automatic bank drafts and/or receiving up to six service billings mailed to a single billing address, the postal software and associated quality control software did not function properly for the recent billings.

The City of Florence is in the process of mailing corrected billings to all affected customers. The city apologizes for any inconvenience these errors may have caused and the corrected billings will provide information regarding contact telephone numbers for the customers.
