The biker bar Suck Bang Blow has come out on top against an Horry County restriction.
Monday, SBB received a notice that stated in order for the county to recognize vendor permits, motorcycle burnouts would be prohibited inside the county.
On Wednesday, SBB filed a lawsuit against the county's terms and conditions with Judge Larry Hyman who ruled in favor of SBB, saying the bar could operate under the same stipulations that it operated last year.
"We didn't know the reasoning of their conditions," said SBB manager Bill Barber. "It's just dust, and the motorcycles on the street make more noise than burnouts."
Bikers run burnouts by revving the throttle and holding the front brakes of their motorcycles in order for the back tire to spin which creates a cloud of smoke from the tire burning.
Horry County referred all lawsuit questions to SBB's attorney Bill Hanna.
"Without the burnout pit, we're out of business," said Hanna. "This is a way for the county to run biker bars out of business. They keep taking more and more until our people couldn't take it."
Hanna said he is discussing with the county to resolve this situation without litigation.
