Cara joined WPDE in October of 2010 as the 7/11 Producer. Cara is a graduate of Marshall University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Political Science/Pre-Law.
While at Marshall University, Cara interned at WSAZ NewsChannel 3 (NBC) in Huntington, WV and worked two years as a Producer for WOWK-TV 13 (CBS). Before graduation, Cara was named the 2009 Producer of the Year for Marshall's Television News Broadcast MU Report and anchored/reported/produced the weekly broadcast "Up to the Minute."
Born in the Buckeye state, Cara grew up as a football fan of THE Ohio State University Buckeyes, but also keeps in tuned to her Alma Mater, The Thundering Herd... Go Herd!
Cara is a self-proclaimed Animal lover and enjoys spending time with her furry-kids, Dooney & Bella.
When Cara isn't at work, she loves spending time with her husband Luke. She also spends most of her time with her Church family and enjoys singing in the choir.
Cara feels blessed to work with such amazing people at WPDE and to live in beautiful Myrtle Beach!
