Lisa Edge joined the WPDE NewsChannel 15 team in August 2010 as the Weekend Anchor/Reporter but she is no stranger to the area.

She was born and raised in North Myrtle Beach. Lisa was introduced to reporting at the age of 16 through a school project and it's been her passion ever since. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of South Carolina.

Lisa has several years experience in journalism. Throughout her career she's worked at stations in the southeast including WLTX-News19 in Columbia, SC where she interned then went on to work as an associate producer and assignment editor; WSFX-Fox26 in Wilmington, NC where she worked as a Reporter/Photographer and fill in anchor; and WBTW-News13 in Myrtle Beach as a General Assignment Reporter and fill-in anchor.

Lisa is never one to shy away from a topic and has covered a wide range of stories from the Azalea Festival to the murder trial of Stephen Stanko, a case that attracted national media attention. Lisa is happy to return to her hometown and to journalism full-time after a brief stint in the airline industry and freelancing.

When not at work Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, hanging out on the beach, and reading a new book every month. She's also a member of the coalition "Community Action for a Safer Tomorrow" and the Mu Iota Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Both groups are committed to community service.

Lisa is always looking for a new stories to tell so if you have an idea she would love to hear from you.
