Sharon started with NewsChannel 15 as a Reporter/Weekend Producer and is now the anchor for Good Morning Carolinas and NewsChannel 15 at Noon.
She joined NewsChannel 15 in November 2007, after packing up her car and making the 2,500 mile journey from the Pacific to the Atlantic in just two days, taking turns at the wheel with her dad. While it gets hard being so far from home, Sharon says she's happy she's still so close to the ocean.
Sharon graduated with honors from San Diego State University in May 2006, where she majored in journalism and minored in TV, film and new media production.
Before coming to NewsChannel 15, Sharon was an associate producer for the NBC and Fox stations in San Diego. While there, Sharon earned a wealth of knowledge about the broadcast industry. Sharon believes that in order to be a good reporter and anchor, you must first learn about all the behind-the-scenes aspects of broadcast journalism.
Sharon is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. In her free time, she loves traveling, reading, going to the beach, and talking to her family.
