Allyson is the News at 6pm, 7pm, and 11pm Anchor and Assistant News Director. She has worked in television news in the Florence/Myrtle Beach area since 1991. She started her career at WPDE as a reporter. She was a health reporter for several years before becoming the 6 and 11pm Anchor in 1996. In 1997, Allyson also became the Assistant News Director.

Allyson is a native of our area. She graduated from Lake City High School in Lake City, South Carolina and Clemson University with a major in English and minor in Communications. Allyson enjoys spending time with her family, her husband, Todd, son Reagan, and daughter Lexie. She likes gardening and attending community events while representing WPDE.

Allyson is on the Florence County Disabilities Foundation Board of Directors, the Board of Directors of the Dalton and Linda Floyd Family Mentoring Program at Coastal Carolina University, and is involved with several other charitable organizations. She has won numerous awards for reporting and anchoring.

Allyson says the best aspect of her job is living in the area where she grew up, close to her friends and family.
