Morning Anchor

School: California State University Monterey Bay
Hometown: Visalia, CA

Crystal Costa co-anchors Good Morning Carolinas and joined the team in October 2012.

This California native was born and raised in the Central Valley town of Visalia. Crystal graduated Magna Cum Laude from California State University Monterey Bay with a degree in Communications. While in the Monterey area, she fell in love with local news. Crystal turned an internship at KION 46 into an opportunity to work behind the scenes as a producer.

Crystal took her first reporting job in Grand Junction, Colorado. She worked for two years covering fires, state-wide politics and breaking news in Western Colorado . She then accepted a morning anchor position at KAPP/KVEW TV in the Tri-Cities and Yakima areas of Washington State.

The morning show was a great outlet for Crystal to report the news of the day while also having fun with guests like local musicians, chefs and authors.

When Crystal is not working she loves spending time with her husband and pets . She is a major animal lover and the beach is her favorite place to be. She’s looking forward to exploring the Myrtle Beach area!
